The Dark Lord is dead. Long live whoever they find to replace him.
Orcs are supposed to pillage the village, serve a Dark Lord, and die at the pointy end of some archetypal hero’s predictably shiny sword. Everyone knows that.
Everyone, that is, except for Gary. He would much rather make clothes.
Trapped in a grim northern factory with only seventeen approved colours to choose from and nothing to look forward to but Taco Tuesday, the curiously sexy orc dreams of seeing the world beyond the Threshold.
As luck would have it (or manifest destiny, if you prefer) a lost human prince called Broderick turns up on Gary’s disassembly line, carrying with him a magical dagger, several dangerous secrets, absolutely no sense of direction, and one hell of a grudge!
The wheels turn, magic gathers, and out of the mists are legends born.
Gary and his best friend Frank stumble into a fresh conspiracy involving a newly qualified Dark Lord, wraithlike businessmen, string-pulling mystics, hostile unicorns, a curious elf/dwarf duo (of course) and a trope-ridden monomyth that appears to have misplaced its hero. Now Gary must cross a world built on ancient prophecies, lazy stereotypes, and extremely questionable administrative decisions.
Because someone has to save the kingdom.
And, apparently, nobody thought to ask the orcs.
